Job Vacancy:
Apprentice – Electrician – Newcastle (ChemicalSite)
Job Objective
The Company will provide workplace expenential training in order to obtain Electrician.
Key Duties:
Work closely with mentor and coach assigned to you
•Familiarize yourself with the plant layout
•Assist In the selection and collection of appropnate matenals. methods, equipment an tools necessary to complete the job.
•Follow instructions from electrician (mentor) and perform duties as required
• Assist in doing the minor repairs to complex components to verify that all equipment is running and controlling to the equipment’s maximum efficiency.
•Tests electrical and equipment and parts for continuity,current voltage. and resistance
•Asist in repairing electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes,conduits. feeders, lighting and alternative electrical parts.
• Assist in doing preventive maintenance and testing ofelectrical systems (including power distribution equipment)
• Assist in working on electrical failures and replacing components whenever production time is often affected.
•Ensure safety standards are maintained and adhered Key
Requirements:
•Candidate that have completed N1-N3 or NCV 4
• Must have technical subjects relevant to the trade applied for
• Minimum 60% pass for trade specific technical subjects
• Minimum 60% pass for Mathematics Or
• Completed N1-3 or NCV 4 or Technical Metric
