    (12 Month Contract)

    The internship is based at any of the following areas:

    Childline SA Head Office – eThekwini Durban (Ref Int:01/25)

    Childline SA Provincial Office-

    – eThekwini Durban Ref Int:02/25)

    Kokstad Regional Office – (Ref Int:03/25)

    Bizana-Eastern Cape (Ref Int:04/25)

    Ntabankulu-Eastern Cape (Ref Int:05/25

    Umzimvubu- Eastern Cape (Ref Int:06/25)

    Matatiele-Eastern Cape (Ref Int 07/25)

    Buffalo City Metro- Eastern Cape (Ref Int:08/25)

    Capricorn- Limpopo (Ref Int: 09/25)

    Ehlanzeni- Mpumalanga (Ref Int:10/25)

    Gert Sibande- Mpumalanga (Ref Int:11/25)

    Nkangala-Mpumalanga Ref Int: 12/25)

    NACCW in partnership with Childline South Africa has an internship posts available.

    This is for the

    deployment of CYCWS in various settings to provide workplace experience for 1 year period (12months).

    Chidlline South Africa believes that the experience provided within the organization will be invaluable in your progression in the field of child and youth care work.

    Criteria for CYCWs to be included in the program:

    Must be in the youth category i.e. not older than 35 yrs old.

    Qualified CYCW’s (minimum Level 4).

    Must be registered with SACSSP.

    Currently unemployed.

    Must not have benefitted from a previous HWSETA funded program/grant/learnership.

    Must be computer literate

    Able to speak and understand the language used in the area.

    Having a driver’s license is an added advantage.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Assess and identify psycho-social problems of children through counseling and applying appropriate intervention methods to preempt such.

    To act as a first responder to victims of Gender based Violence.

    To offer containment services to abused children and adults

    Conduct dialogues and raise awareness on GBV matters.

    Work closely in the community and identify GBV cases.

    To compile monthly reports of all activities facilitated

    Provide daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly reports as needed.

    Ensure accuracy and integrity in the data reported and presented.

    Provide weekly plans as well as weekly and monthly timesheets and reports timeously.
